This is a working list. It describes the machine groups the workshop is built around, but the full specification of each machine has yet to be confirmed, and every value below is marked as such.
01Machine groups
Each group is described honestly: what it is for, and how much of its specification is still to be confirmed.
Group 01
The turning side of the workshop, used for shafts, bushes, spacers, pins and threaded components, in one-offs and in batches.

Group 02
Milling capability for plates, brackets, profiles, pockets and slots, with drilling and tapping carried out in the same set-up wherever the geometry allows.

Group 03
Manual machines for one-off work, second operations, repairs and the small modifications that are quicker by hand than by programme.

Group 04
Cutting stock to length and preparing material before it reaches a machine, so the first operation starts on a clean, square, correctly sized blank.

Group 05
Cutting, forming and welding equipment for frames, guards, brackets, stands, repairs and modifications in mild steel, stainless and aluminium.

Group 06
The equipment used to check work in process and before dispatch. Records from these checks are kept against each job.

03Tooling & inspection
A working inventory. Where a value is not yet confirmed it is marked TBC; where a cell does not apply, it is left as a dash rather than filled with something invented.

Tooling and inspection equipment is being added as the work requires it. If your job needs a specific gauge, standard or certification, tell us at enquiry stage and we will confirm whether we can supply it — and if we cannot, we will say so before you commit.
04Honest
Not every job belongs in a workshop like this one, and pretending otherwise wastes everybody’s time. If a component needs a machine we do not have, a process we do not run, or a certification we cannot provide, we will say so at the enquiry stage and, where we can, point you in the direction of someone better suited to it.
